Chervin Kitchen and Bath
building dreams
Kevin Bauman's eyes sparkle as he expresses his delight in the craftsmanship that thrives at the very heart of Chervin Kitchen and Bath; and why it's important. "Most people who come to us have their own ideas about a 'perfect kitchen'", Kevin explains. "They simply cannot find an off-the-shelf solution that's right for them. We work with them to craft their dreams into a beautiful and functional reality; from detailed designs to construction, installation and fine tuning."
Perfect Fit
Everyone's dreams are different and each Chervin project has its own challenges in meeting client expectations; every kitchen is a custom kitchen. That ensures the perfect fit for those who will enjoy living in their dream.
You can see the incredible quality for yourself at their showroom on Benjamin Road; beautifully crafted woodwork that would make anyone stop and take notice. For over 20 years these artisans have been creating excellent kitchen spaces for families who originally felt the Chervin kitchen experience while visiting someone else's home. The Chervin success story is a clear example of the value of word-of-mouth advertising. Their reputation for craftsmanship grows as each project leads to another.
Their custom design team, led by Jon and Dan, has been with the company for many years, continually stretching their capacity for creative thinking with each new client challenge. "When you're working with other people's wish lists, you quite naturally end up with an incredible inventory of ideas", says Marvin; "designs that will never be found in a book".
Working Together
The culture here is one of continual improvement with everyone conscious of the value of a healthy working environment. Beginning with 4 employees in 1991, Kevin has carefully selected craftsmen who share his passion for working with wood; people who are driven to create stunning pieces to enhance any space. Now with a staff of 65, Chervin has grown naturally as they expanded to meet the demand. "Work just kept coming in", Kevin recalls, "so we just kept growing. And now we enjoy a wide variety of projects from matching the atmosphere and intricate detail of a 150 year old home, to creating dynamic yet comfortable features for fresh architectural marvels of our times. It's exciting for all of us and I still can't resist stepping into the shop now and then to touch the wood and help out with a project."
The key ingredient at Chervin has always been the passion to create cabinetry with distinction. You can feel it as you relax and take in the flow of each model in their showroom. There is a difference here; sometimes it's the perfect matching of wood with tile, perhaps the unusual turn of a column and other times from a comfortable colouring that you discover is a unique product of their shop. They seem to think of everything; it all seems so right. Even their vision is a perfect fit ... to seek the enthusiastic "Wow" from each client. And that makes everyone's eyes sparkle.
