While you may not think of a tailor as an
innovator, Mark Nunes has proved adept at
both roles. Mark and his wife Marina teamed up
to present a refreshing clothing experience for
discerning men and women in their convenient
new location at the dynamic Bauer Marketplace. |

Until re-locating to King Street, Mark and
Marina operated separate retail and tailoring shops
on Park Street near Union. Following much thought
and a great deal of encouragement from clients and
friends, they decided to increase their presence,
product and style offerings in a single location.
Quality automatically sets them apart from others in
the competitive retail environment but it’s the talent
of Mark and Marina and their careful attention to
the client reality that delivers an exceptional shopping
experience with a wide range of price points. |

A tailor for today |

Being well connected in our community, Mark is
aware of the fast paced and ever-changing lifestyles
of today’s business people and he continues to seek
opportunities to integrate his ideas into new clothing
designs and services like expert tailoring and ecofriendly
dry-cleaning. It’s that approach that appeals
to many when they see his special smart phone pocket
design that means saying goodbye to the aggravating
holster. Keeping current is important to Mark. That’s
why some of his clients were able to purchase jackets
with a slightly enlarged inside breast pocket to fit
PlayBook, long before it was available for purchase. |

Mark and Marina enjoy hearing about
clients’ thoughts on creating a stylish yet practical
wardrobe. “We’ll help you discover what’s best
for you,” Mark asserts, “and then we’ll build it for
you, one piece at a time or a complete wardrobe.”
Offering exclusive men’s and ladies accessories
and clothing with complimentary tailoring,
this entrepreneurial pair aims for high quality,
featuring lines from all over the world, as well
as Canadian made suits with fabric from Italian
mills. With 3 tailors, Marina and Mark are able to
offer immediate tailoring if needed ... excellent for
those who find themselves in a last minute bind. |

When you enter this space you feel the welcoming
openness of ultra-high ceilings and plenty of light
beaming in through over-sized windows. It’s fun and
stress-less; a luxurious ultra modern atmosphere that
reminds one of New York. The knowledgeable and
friendly staff set the stage for comfortable shopping. |

“A gentleman recently dropped in with his
wife,” Mark recalls. “They were leaving on a
trip and had put off the clothing question. You
could feel the stress as they entered. He was a
non-shopper who was unaccustomed to decisions
about his own clothes. While his wife browsed
the fine choices Marina has available for women,
this fellow talked to me about where they were
going and what he expected to be doing there.
That helped us select the perfect wardrobe for his
personality and his destination. The couple left
full of excitement about their clothing choices and
happy about our immediate tailoring capability.” |

Mark says one of the best moves he and
Marina made was to combine forces and present
a modern clothing lounge for their well known
Canadian made custom shirts and suits as well as
men’s and ladies quality designer lines. It’s one of
the few stores where a husband and wife can shop
together, advising each other and both leaving with
an exciting addition to their wardrobes. With this
fresh approach, appealing to both men and women,
men are shopping more often … and ladies are
thrilled they no longer need to drive to Toronto! |
