Insight Eye Care

foresight is 20/20

There's an air of energy at Insight Eye Care that makes me take notice and wonder what's so different about this space. Everything seems new and fresh with a sense of fashion; attractive eyewear that makes me want to try on a pair even though my optometrist said my vision is excellent. But I do need regular checkups. I do need to see what's changing.

"Our eyes are always adjusting in subtle ways," says Dr. Tim Sloss as he explains the high tech equipment. "With our OCT, for example, we can obtain detailed subsurface images from within the retina. We use it as a screening tool to find problems.Just imagine the benefit it provides in early diagnosis of potential problems like macular degeneration that results in a loss of vision in the center of what you see, and glaucoma, that can lead to blindness if left untreated. The OCT has given us the edge ona number of cases, allowing us to diagnose better... and sooner." It's at this point that I am startled to realize I've been taking my car for checkups far more often than I've been having my eyes tested.

20/20

If you see the same line of letters at 20 feet that a normal person sees at 20 feet then your eyesight is considered 20/20. As you age you will likely require lenses to help you retain your comfortackle level of sight. The sophisticated technology at Insight Eye Care measures precisely what strength of lens isjust right for you. Once you choose a frame design that appeals to you, a custom fitting with a skilled associate, using a precision computer system, will provide you with the best fit and function possible; a new you. There are 1400 fashionable frames here, from more than 40 very different designers; many of them exclusive. Something for everyone.

Quality/Value

"We're proud of the level of client loyalty", says Tim, "that's resulted from the respect and credibility of Dr. Cressman. We're building on that reputation as we reach out to continue to grow our client base with a commitment to be the best in Waterloo Region. Our whole team is contributing to strengthen this established practice with a grand history. Personally, I believe we've progressed because we have that balance between the in-depth clinical knowledge & diagnostic equipment and the best lenses, frames and advice available anywhere."

"And when it's time for clients and others to recycle their glasses we collect them for people in third world countries, particularly in Ecuador, where we've been part of medical missions sent to help. We encourage all of our start to engage in local volunteering and we direct our support to many causes, including the KW Pregnancy Resource Centre and local fashion events like Fashion for Life and A Blooming Affair."

The greatest reward for the whole team is seeing people return for checkups and to check out the latest eyewear. Relationships are developed and Insight Eye Care becomes a shopping destination. All of us want to see clearly, look good and trust the professionals that we depend on. That's what happens here.
